HarborOne U Celebrates a Successful First Year

Over 1,600 People Took Advantage of Personal Finance Classes, Small Business Programs and Life Style Seminars

MANSFIELD, MA--(Marketwire - Jul 11, 2011) - HarborOne U has completed a successful first year citing 90 classes and events conducted with over 1,600 people in attendance. Believed to be one of the country's first centers devoted to financial education, life and career support services and small business assistance, HarborOne U offers educational and personal enrichment opportunities to local residents and businesses. Located at the HarborOne Mansfield office, HarborOne U also boasts a dedicated onsite Business Information Center and SBA library as well as ample conference rooms and meeting spaces where local nonprofits, business networking and other volunteer organizations can host meetings free of charge. First year highlights:

    • QuickBooks® tutorials
    • Social Security and Medicare Benefits
    • Time management and organizational skills
  • Featured speakers included national social media experts CC Chapman and Ann Handley, authors of the book Content Rules and Shari Storm, author of Motherhood is the New MBA.
  • 10 Girl Scout troops have earned their Money Sense Badge by coming to our Youth Financial Literacy programs
  • 15 groups use the space monthly for professional meetings, board meetings and networking events
