Hardwick Clothes Looks Ahead to the Future

CLEVELAND, TN--(Marketwired - July 28, 2014) - Hardwick Clothes raised the 1880 American flag outside their plant in Cleveland, TN this morning. The flag raising celebrated the company's 134th anniversary. The event comes on the heels of Hardwick's acquisition by Cleveland businessman Allan Jones.

"Cleveland is the City with Spirit," said Jones. "Hardwick is the essence of that Spirit."

Hardwick employees, as well as local and state politicians, attended the anniversary event. Jones gave an inspiring speech at the conclusion of the event. As his speech came to a close, the wind picked up and stretched the 38-star flag out against the sky.

"The reason we're here today is to celebrate the fact that we are keeping an American company in America," said Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey. Ramsey said that Tennessee is "leading the Southeast and leading the nation in job creation and job recruitment."
