Harper Government Funds Laval's Mondial Loto-Quebec

MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 15, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the Corporation du Mondial Choral has been granted funding from the Harper Government to commercialize the Mondial Loto-Québec de Laval on international markets.

"By providing financial support to the Corporation du Mondial Choral, the Harper Government is helping stimulate the economy of the Laval region, which will benefit from the spinoffs generated by this colourful festival," said Minister Lebel.

Now in its 8th year, the Mondial Loto-Québec de Laval is one of Quebec's major summer music festivals, as well as the largest hub for choral and vocal groups in North America. It presents performances by national and international music greats, accompanied by large singing ensembles. This great gathering of choirs and vocal groups is supported by an advertising campaign, a social media strategy, advertising placement in media outside Quebec, and participation in specialized trade shows.
