Harrah's Atlantic City to Unveil Phase I of $550 Million Expansion on February 18

620-Seat Contemporary Waterfront Buffet and Retail Promenade Offer First Glimpse of the "New" Harrah's Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 7, 2007 -- Harrah's Atlantic City will unveil the first phase of the property's $550 million upgrade and expansion project on February 18 when a new 620-seat contemporary buffet and a retail promenade offering seven unique shopping outlets are revealed.

The new Waterfront Buffet will be distinguished by 22-foot ceilings, 60 chandeliers, private dining spaces, seven culinary stations from around the world -- American, Italian, Asian Wok and Mongolian Barbecue, Seafood, Rodizio, Sushi and Dim Sum -- as well as a series of video monitors tempting guests with the preparation of the many cuisines offered within the buffet. Harrah's existing Fantasea Buffet will be converted into additional gaming space that will allow for 400 slot machines, 10 table games and a player's lounge. The casino floor will be expanded by 16,500 square feet for a total of 165,700 square feet by summer of 2007.

The Waterfront Shops at Harrah's is a new retail promenade that features a ten-foot diameter globe with plasma televisions showcasing all of the worldwide locations of Harrah's Entertainment properties. The Waterfront Shops offer seven distinctive shopping emporiums including women's clothing boutiques, a fine jewelry store, select home décor and gift shops as well as a Sony Innovations store. A men's clothing store will join the collection in July 2007. All items sold within the retail promenade's new shops will be available for purchase with Harrah's Total Rewards Points or through regular payment methods. Total Rewards members who shop in the stores will also receive special discounts.

"The unveiling of the Waterfront Buffet and retail promenade is a first look at the new Harrah's, and all that is to come," said R. Scott Barber, senior vice president and general manager of Harrah's Atlantic City. "The expansion of our landmark marina property is aimed at delivering to our guests an increasingly rich and welcoming recreational experience with an array of new and improved amenities that include dining, retail, accommodations, spa, entertainment and, of course, lively gaming action."

Making a Splash: Largest Indoor Pool and Red Door Spa to Open in May 2007

In May 2007, Harrah's Atlantic City will become official home to "The Endless Summer" with the debut of a four-acre entertainment complex featuring a 90-foot-high, glass-dome-enclosed tropical oasis including a 23,000-square-foot, 86,000-gallon heated pool, seven Jacuzzis, 12 cabanas, indoor and outdoor deck areas, as well as a pool bar. The pool complex will offer guests creative water-tainment both day and night with such engaging activities as dive-in movies, beach parties, pool-side spa treatments and live musical entertainment.

Adjacent to the pool area will be a brand new Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa with 23 treatment rooms including couples' treatment rooms and a couple's suite with an in-room Jacuzzi and shower. This well-appointed Red Door Spa will offer Elizabeth Arden's comprehensive menu of world-renowned spa services and beauty treatments as well as a full-service fitness center overlooking the pool area. Such signature spa treatments as The Harrah's Casino Lift, Jackpot Therapy and Roll The Dice will also be introduced. Additional spa amenities will include steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools surrounding a fireplace, and a specialty cold shower with rain, mist and turbo jet settings.

Reaching New Heights in Atlantic City

The centerpiece of Harrah's expansion project will be a new 961-room, 44-story hotel tower featuring 8 super-suites and 104 suites appointed with limestone floors, freestanding showers, fireplaces, in-room theaters and plasma televisions. Upon completion in mid-2008, the new tower will increase Harrah's hotel capacity by nearly 60 percent, offering a total of 2,272 rooms.

The new tower will also make Harrah's the tallest hotel casino in Atlantic City and the second tallest building in New Jersey.

"Harrah's hotel room demand currently exceeds our capacity and with the expanded amenities we anticipate even more growth," says Barber. "We have renovated all of our existing accommodations and the introduction of a new tower will better enable us to meet the needs of our loyal customers while also welcoming new guests to share the Harrah's Atlantic City experience."
