Harte Gold Announces Discovery of New Gold Zone and Hemlo Style Contact Zone

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Feb. 27, 2015) - HARTE GOLD CORP. ("Harte Gold") (TSX:HRT)(FRANKFURT:H4O) is pleased to announce the completion of its recent drill program and the discovery of a new gold zone; the "Footwall Zone" and Hemlo style mineralization at the "Contact Zone" at Harte Gold's 100% owned Sugar Zone property located north-east of White River, Ontario. These new zones were initially identified as exploration targets through the Induced Polarization and Magnetometer ("IP/Mag") surveys, geological mapping and surface sampling programs completed in 2014.

Footwall Zone

The Footwall Zone is a new gold bearing vein system located approximately 50 meters east of the Sugar Zone Deposit. Near - surface drilling was focused on an area where three grab samples returned assay results of 10g/t, 11.5 g/t and 626 g/t. Mineralized drill intersections were narrow (< 1m) but featured "crack seal" veins which are a strong indicator of gold mineralization and occur at the Bell Creek Mine in Timmins, Ontario and numerous other lode gold deposits in the Abitibi greenstone belt. Future drilling will test potential extensions at depth and along strike.

Contact Zone

Preliminary, near surface drilling intersected 47 meters of sericite schist and flanking siliceous sediments containing Hemlo style metallurgy and anomalous gold. Harte Gold is pleased with the early results at the Contact Zone and will test potential extensions at depth and along strike in future drill programs.

In-fill Drilling

This program consisted of a series of shallow drill holes in the portal area to provide in-fill drill information and define structural controls of Sugar Zone gold mineralization in support of the scheduled bulk sample program and future development work associated with commercial production. Results were consistent with Sugar Zone mineralization defined to date.

Robert S. Middleton, Consultant and Exploration Program Project Manager commented: "Recent drilling was successful in discovering two new mineralized zones and enhanced our understanding of the structural controls governing the Sugar Zone Deposit. Crack seal veins and their association with large deposits such as the Bell Creek Mine in Timmins and other lode gold deposits in the Abitibi greenstone belt, confirm the favorable geology found on the Sugar Zone Property."

Bulk Sample Permitting

Harte Gold has received approval for an amended Closure Plan which will facilitate more efficient access to the Jewelry Box portion of the Sugar Zone Deposit. The Bulk Sample is scheduled to begin Q2 2015.

Claims to Lease

Harte Gold has submitted final documentation to the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines and paid first year rent due under a 21 year surface and mining rights lease for the core mining claims at the Sugar Zone Property. Leased claims are a requirement for commercial production.

QA / QC Statement

Drill core was logged in Harte Gold's secure core facility in White River, Ontario. Samples were hand delivered to the AGAT preparation lab in Thunder Bay where they were crushed and pulverized and sent to the Mississauga lab for analysis. Samples were fire assayed using a 30 gram representative sample and finished with ICP analysis. Additional ICP analysis was done for pathfinder elements. For quality control and quality assurance a standard sample was inserted every 20 samples during the program and a blank sample was also inserted every 20 samples, however, within the mineralization a blank was also inserted after every sample. Samples exceeding 1 gram / tonne Au were re-assayed, in cases where visible gold is abundant, metallic screen analysis is used. R.S. Middleton P.Eng. supervised the recent drill program and oversaw all logging, splitting and assay procedures for the project. Mr. Middleton is acting as the Qualified Person for Harte Gold Corp. in regards to this project and has approved the scientific and/or technical disclosure in the news release.
