Harte Gold Closes $608,000 Private Placement

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 18, 2007) - HARTE GOLD CORP. (TSX VENTURE:HRT)(FRANKFURT:H4O) - Mr. Robert J. Platt, President & CEO of Harte Gold Corp. (the "Company" or "Harte"), is pleased to announce that the Company has closed a non-brokered private placement of 3,800,000 units (the "Units") at a price of $0.16 per Unit for gross proceeds of $608,000. Each Unit consists of one (1) common share in the capital of Harte and one-half (1/2) share purchase warrant. Each whole share purchase warrant grants the holder the right to purchase one (1) common share at an exercise price of $0.25 for a period of 12 months from the Closing Date. Proceeds of the offering will be used by Harte for general working capital and further development of its mineral properties.

Insiders of Harte purchased 100,000 Units in the Private Placement and a Pro-group member purchased 150,000 Units. Harte paid agent's fees in the amount of 10% of the Units issued in respect of the financing. All securities issued are subject to a hold period of four months and one day from the date of closing.
