Harte-Hanks Expands Ci Pipeline® Service to Capture New Technology Sales Opportunities Including Cloud Computing

Eight New Initiatives Reveal Intentions for Leading Edge Technology Purchases

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - October 18, 2010) - Harte-Hanks, Inc. (NYSE: HHS), a global insight-driven, multichannel direct and digital marketing company, has now expanded its Ci Pipeline® lead generation service to include tracking of eight new leading-edge technology initiatives being planned at more than 740,000 North American and European business locations. The new initiatives identified include emerging opportunities in cloud computing, desktop virtualization, messaging security, data loss prevention (DLP), electronic medical records (EMR) and mobile devices/smart phones.

Cloud computing is widely recognized as one of the fastest growing technology initiatives in today's marketplace. Ci Pipeline has identified 603 cloud computing initiatives with reported budgets totaling nearly $41 million since tracking began on July 1, 2010.

In addition to tracking spending initiatives in cloud computing, new Ci Pipeline alerts are now available for virtualization (desktop, server, storage), security (messaging, data loss prevention), mobile communications and electronic medical records. Overall, Ci Pipeline tracks 77 key technology initiatives. Total budgets for all initiatives collected since January 2010 total more than $5.8 billion in purchase intentions within the next 24 months.
