Harte-Hanks Is Named to Inaugural Global Outsourcing 100; Marketing Solutions Provider Is Ranked No. 26

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 21, 2006 -- Harte-Hanks, Inc. (NYSE: HHS), a worldwide direct and targeted marketing company, has achieved a number 26 ranking in an inaugural "Global Outsourcing 100" listing, compiled by The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).

"Selection to The Global Outsourcing 100 was based on a rigorous application process on the critical factors for long-term outsourcing success," said Michael F. Corbett, executive director, IAOP. "As the global standard-setting organization and advocate for the outsourcing profession, IAOP is pleased to be able to recognize the industry's leading providers with this prestigious award."

The named 100 companies first were announced in February, and the actual rankings first appeared publicly in the April 3 (2006) issue in a special advertising feature in Fortune magazine. Companies were selected based on applications submitted for review by a panel of judges according to a range of factors typically reviewed by companies when evaluating potential providers: depth and breadth of services, customer references, recognitions and certifications earned, investments in people and management systems, and experience of the candidate company's top executives.

"Worldwide, we are seeing businesses and brands choose to focus on their core competencies, and to enlist outside partners who are expert in other competencies that support the brand -- in our case database and data management, customer care and tech support, and marketing strategy and execution," said Gary Skidmore, corporate officer and senior vice president, Harte-Hanks. "This recognition also matters to us in that it seeks to be global in its measurement. Increasingly, we are meeting client needs everywhere in the world."

Harte-Hanks has marketing services centers in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Ireland, the Philippines, Spain, United Kingdom and the United States. Additionally, it maintains and fosters partnerships with technology and service providers across dozens of other nations.

The panel of judges for this year's Global Outsourcing 100 was led by Jag Dalal, a senior executive who has worked extensively in the field of outsourcing at major U.S. corporations including Carrier, Data General, Unisys and Xerox, and is currently principal of JDalal Associates. Panel members included: David Barrett, partner, Simmons & Simmons; Michael Corbett, executive director, IAOP; Dr. Tina Dacin, Queen's School of Business (Canada); DJ Dalal, country manager (India) for engineering and technology sourcing fro United Technology Corporation's Hamilton Sundstrand; Chris Disher, vice president and head of outsourcing advisory services for Booz Allen Hamilton; Deborah Kops, managing director in charge of global sourcing transformation, Deutsche Bank AG, London; Lisa Ross, chief executive officer and founder of FAO Research, Inc.; and Atul Vashistha, chief executive officer, neoIT.
