Harte-Hanks Trillium Software Helps Habitat for Humanity Affiliate Build Total Data Quality

Greater Pittsburgh Non-Profit Relies on Trillium Software System to Ensure Volunteer Data Is Accurate for Promotions Initiatives; Reduces Data Cleanse Time by 97%

(NYSE: HHS), and a leading enabler of Total Data Quality solutions, today announced that Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh, a Pennsylvania-based affiliate of the internationally-recognized non-profit, has utilized the Trillium Software System® to cleanse and standardize all volunteer and donor information, ensuring the data is accurate and up-to-date for major marketing initiatives and event promotions. As a result of implementing the Trillium Software System, Habitat reduced its data cleansing time by 97% as compared to manual data management processes, enabling the organization to realign resources in order to focus on core operations and fundraising.

Donor and volunteer data comes from many different locations, and had been stored in various, distributed databases. Information was keyed into systems manually by volunteers, and over the years, the data became obsolete and less dependable. As part of a coordinated effort to combine and validate data in one centralized customer access database, Habitat standardized the information and applied accurate postal code records through the Trillium Software System. The resulting process saved nearly two months of work by volunteers, so they could focus on other revenue-generating opportunities to help the community. In addition, once the database was updated, data standards were established so all new incoming data would continue to meet Trillium Software business rules and guidelines. Later, Habitat program family information was imported into and consolidated within the database, thereby creating an accurate, complete set of data important to Habitat and managed by the Trillium Software System.
