Hashrocket Hosts Mini-Conference on Tech Best Practices in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL--(Marketwired - December 03, 2015) - Jacksonville Beach-based web and mobile consultancy Hashrocket is hosting all its employees from offices in Chicago, Columbus and San Francisco for a bi-annual mini-conference focused on sharing best practices and related topics in the areas of application and web development.

"This allows our developers to share their work on passion projects with their peers, give insights on new programming languages and discuss the newest developments in application design," said Hashrocket CEO Marian Phelan. "Our developers submit their topics to us ahead of time and we select the most impactful presentations for the day."

Topics will include:

  • An overview, review of DevOps practices at Hashrocket (the blending of tasks performed by a company's application development and systems operations teams), by Chris Erin
  • An Introduction to Functional Reactive Programming with Elm for creating rich user experiences, by Dorian Karter
  • A presentation and discussion on why data is the most important consulting asset for the company's developers, by Joshua Davey
  • With more users reaching for smart phones and tablets every day, a discussion on how Hashrocket practices will be affected by the increased emphasis on mobile development, by Micah Woods
  • Consulting clients on the complexity and best practices as it relates to Hybrid and Native App Development, by Gabriel Reis
  • A tour of ES6 and discussion about advanced Java Script, by Jonathan Jackson

Ten employees are arriving to join the staff at Hashrocket's headquarters at the Metropolitan Building, located 320 1st Street North, prior to the mini-conference scheduled on Friday, Dec. 4.
