Have You Seen a Fall Protection Fail?

Every Year Over 100,000 Injuries and Deaths Are Connected to Workplace Falls; Fall Protection Pros.com Hopes to Reduce That Number With the "Fall Protection Fail" Project

DEERFIELD, WI--(Marketwire - August 18, 2009) - Fall Protection Pros.com, Inc. announces the launch of an industry first safety initiative, the "Fall Protection Fail" project. The project hopes to increase compliance by showing improper and negligent fall protection use while offering cost savings on the equipment to stay safe.

The term "Fall Protection Fail" refers to any time fall protection equipment should clearly be in use, but for whatever reason is ignored, inadequate, or improperly used. Visitors and customers of FallProtectionPros.com are encouraged to submit pictures of workers without fall protection, showing "Fall Protection Fails," to the main website or blog. If a photo is selected for submission and posted, the submitter will receive a store discount at FallProtectionPros.com to buy safety equipment at a lower cost.

FallProtectionPros.com has no interest in personally embarrassing workers or instigating whistle-blowing on construction companies. "Instead," Fall Protection Pros.com, Inc. founder Doug Kotecki said, "this initiative is supposed to shine a light on how careless some of us can be when it comes to safety. Sometimes, it isn't until you step back and see something in a picture that you realize how reckless you've been. We want to fix that."
