Haven Beat Virgin-Atlantic and Destinology in the Race for Best Website Design at Travolution Awards

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Oct. 27, 2012) - At the Travolution awards this week Haven's website www.haven.com won first place. They were up against many known travel brands and in the finals against www.destinology.co.uk and www.virgin-atlantic.com so some pretty tough competition.

On the 23rd October the sixth Travolution Award ceremony was held in The Troxy, an Art Deco music venue in east London. With more than 400 guests and 30 awards waiting to be given in eight categories, the event was a big success.

Alison Dunn, head of e-commerce for Haven said: "we are absolutely delighted to be recognized in these awards by Travolution who are the UK's leading multi-media brand for the online travel industry. We've worked hard to create a compelling online experience for visitors to the site and from an end users perspective we have designed it to be intuitive, informative and simple to use. We know that our interactive search features are extremely popular, as guests are helped to choose which of the 35 parks would be most suitable for them and which are available, and they can even explore inside each room in the accommodation."

The real proof in the usability of any website has to be in the results and Haven has reported that 51% of their sales now come via the website. Alison went on to say "The website is a key part of the Haven experience and is often the first touch point the customer has with us so it's important that their on line experience reflects the welcome and experience they will receive when they arrive on our parks. Our team are constantly coming up with new innovative ideas to improve the customer journey and making it fun." To see the website for yourself or book a break, go on www.haven.com.
