Haven to invest GBP 40 Million in Parks

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Nov. 30, 2009) - UK based Holiday Park operator Haven Holidays, have announced that they are to spend more than GBP 40 million upgrading facilities and improving the quality of the accommodation available at their 35 UK Parks.

Following on from a record breaking year in 2009, Haven is investing more than GBP 40 million to upgrade the facilities available at their 35 UK Holiday Parks in order to improve the quality of facilities and accommodation that is available to holiday makers for 2010.

Guests staying at Haven next year will be able to take advantage of upgraded water parks, bar facilities, and additional facilities including golf courses and all weather sports courts, as well as having the benefit of a wider range of holiday home accommodation than ever before.

3 parks will receive new children's play areas including Hopton in Great Yarmouth, Marton Mere in Blackpool, and Littlesea in Weymouth. The new facilities are designed to provide safe and exciting places for kids of all ages to enjoy their time. Family Holidays at Haven will also be enhanced with the construction of a Space Bowl Water feature as part of the pool complex at Haven's Thorpe Park in Cleethorpes. Lazy River attractions are also being added at Haggerston Castle in Northumberland and Combe Haven.

For guests looking for more laid back activities, the all new adventure golf courses that are being built over the winter will provide a challenge when they open in the new year, while improved catering on the holiday parks in the form of the all new Mash and Barrel Public Houses will provide holiday makers with the option to eat out without having to drive.

Additions to the options for accommodation in 2010 include new holiday homes across many caravan parks, and the introduction of higher grade caravans to provide holiday makers with more choice for their caravan or camping holidays.

One of the biggest changes at Haven in 2010 will be the new landscaping being brought to many of the parks. Designed to create a more natural environment and give greater privacy to holiday makers, the changes to the parks mean that guests will be able to enjoy more space during their stay.

Although the parks are now closed until the beginning of March next year, guests are already able to book their 2010 summer holidays at Haven, and special offers including 20% off are available until January 18th.
