Hayward Brings State of the Art Computer Efficiency to Residential Pool Cleaning With AquaVac(R) 500

New Robotic Pool Cleaner Offers Microprocessor-Based Wall Climbing and Scrubbing; an Out of Water Sensor; 60-Foot Swiveling Cord; a Power Supply With an Integrated Timer; and More

ELIZABETH, NJ--(Marketwired - Sep 9, 2014) -  Hayward® introduces the AquaVac® 500 Robotic Pool Cleaner, bringing state of the art computer efficiency to in-ground pool cleaning for the residential market. Recognized as one of the most advanced robotic pool cleaners in the industry for its superior performance, convenience and ability to maximize efficiency, AquaVac 500 offers a microprocessor-based program for thorough pool bottom, wall and waterline coverage; dual scrubbing brushes; a 60-foot cord with a swivel; a power supply with an integrated recurring timer; a convenient caddy cart (available with select models); as well as many other new features for robotic cleaning.

This eco-friendly cleaner scrubs and vacuums pool floors, coves, walls, and even the waterline, while using up to 94 percent less energy than most pressure cleaners. The out-of-water sensor prevents the cleaner from starting while out of the water, and its beach entry sensor detects when the cleaner is climbing out of the pool and automatically reverses direction.

According to Hayward's Product Manager for Automatic Pool Cleaners Patrick Caty, "Pool owners and operators will be drawn to the contemporary design of AquaVac 500, which is unmistakably sleek and low profile. Ultimately, pool owners and operators will be sold on its power, efficiency and user friendly features."

Caty explained that the new robotic cleaner has an on-board microprocessor with a new adaptive program for efficient coverage and cleaning. Featuring Dual-Mode technology with two cleaning programs: a fast 90 minute Bottom only or deep 3-hours Bottom, Wall and Waterline cleaning -- conveniently shutting itself off at the end of its cleaning cycle.

AquaVac 500's integrated recurring timer feature allows pool owners to select cleaning frequency -- every 24, 48 or 72 hours. It includes an easy-to-access, extra-large debris container with removable cartridge elements for easy-cleaning. Hayward's new robotic pool cleaner also features powerful, dual-scrubbing brushes that loosen dirt, debris and algae. Caty noted that the AquaVac 500 is fully automatic and self-contained, and operates independently from the pool's filtration system. "In other words, pool owners will have to backwash less often, which also conserves water."
