By communicating with OmniLogic's theme functionality, Nest modes like "HOME," "AWAY," or "PROTECT," can now turn on or off groups of backyard equipment and features based on your behavior or preferences. This allows you to be comfortable when you're home, conserve energy when you're away, or optimize your outdoor lighting during an emergency.
OmniLogic currently allows homeowners to set schedules or create themes for all backyard equipment and features, but by integrating with Nest, this control can now be based on your behavior. For instance, if you leave the house and forget to turn off your swimming pool water features, Nest will sense you are not home and go into Away mode, which can also activate an "ALL FEATURES OFF" theme through OmniLogic that shuts these features off. This helps you to save money on your energy bills, and account for life beyond pre-set daily schedules.
