HDS Retail North America Selects Radiant Communications to Connect Over 300 Stores Across Canada and the United States.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 29, 2006) - Radiant Communications Corp. ("Radiant") (TSX VENTURE:RCN), Canada's leading supplier of Internet-based data communications and managed connectivity services to the business market, is pleased to announce the implementation of a North American wide data connectivity solution for HDS Retail North America, a division of the Hachette Distribution Services (HDS) Group, headquartered in France, with a total of 3600 stores around the world. The Radiant Solution connects each store to head office using secure high speed DSL and redundant dial back-up services. In addition, Radiant's VPN (Virtual Private Network) will facilitate the integration of each store's POS system and back office application connections with HDS RNA's Toronto head office.

"HDS RNA recognized that secure and reliable real time information as well as the ability to rapidly process debit and credit payments at POS was key to customer satisfaction and profitability," said David Buffett, President and CEO of Radiant. "Radiant's footprint, customer focus, and ability to deliver one monthly bill continue to be a compelling value proposition for our customers. We will connect the HDS RNA stores using the best solution available for each location and create a secure and private network that is scalable and able to grow as HDS RNA expands."

Store productivity and customer service at its 300 North American locations were the driving force behind HDS RNA's switch from a dial-based network to an IP-based solution. "Dial was just too slow for our debit and credit transactions, plus we had nightly store polling and data transfers to head office. Our business requirements have changed and status quo was no longer acceptable," said John Bostock, Chief Information Officer for HDS RNA. "With Radiant's IP-based solution, debit/credit and phone card transactions are significantly faster and our POS functionality and back office applications are much more efficient. Radiant demonstrated their extensive retail experience right from the start. They understood our strategic business requirements, and worked with us to develop a very creative solution that will enable us to achieve these objectives."
