HDXPRT 2014 Media Benchmark Now Available

DURHAM, NC--(Marketwired - July 29, 2014) - The BenchmarkXPRT Development Community, which Principled Technologies (PT) administers, is pleased to announce the release of the HDXPRT 2014 benchmark.

HDXPRT, the High Definition Experience & Performance Ratings Test, is a benchmark designed to assess how well a PC can handle real-world media scenarios while using common consumer applications. It completes photo editing, video conversion, and music editing tasks to measure your system's performance. The HDXPRT 2014 setup process takes about 10 minutes on most mainstream systems, and a standard test run takes approximately an hour and a half. After you finish testing, it presents results that are relevant and easy to understand.

HDXPRT 2014 includes free or trial versions of several common media applications, including Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 12, Apple® iTunes® 11.1.3.8, Audacity® 2.0.5, CyberLink MediaEspresso 6.7, and HandBrake 0.9.9.

Unlike HDXPRT 2012, which required a physical install disc, HDXPRT 2014 is available for download at www.HDXPRT.com.

Members of the BenchmarkXPRT Development Community significantly influenced the development of the benchmark by providing feedback on the initial design specifications and participating in Beta testing.

Visit the official BenchmarkXPRT Development Community Web site, www.BenchmarkXPRT.com, to learn how you can participate in the development of future versions of HDXPRT and stay up to date on the latest information regarding the benchmark. The Community also has a presence on Facebook and Twitter.
