HeadsUp Entertainment Sets Corporate Initiative to Become the Exclusive Poker Magazine for Canadian Casinos

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - March 22, 2010) - HeadsUp Entertainment International Inc. (PINK SHEETS:HDUP) announced today it believes it can lock up exclusive relationships with most of the Canadian casinos that have a poker presence in Canada. There are an estimated 48 casinos in Canada that have a poker room on site which would encompass the complete corporate initiative. The corporate initiative targets June 30, 2010 as the date to secure most, if not all of the casinos. As a result, Canadian Poker Player Magazine would be the exclusive magazine in poker rooms in as many as 40 of the casinos. The increased distribution of the Canadian Poker Player Magazine will drive patrons to the company's other properties including Canadian Poker Tour (CPT) and Canadian Poker Player Television Network and increase the market value of sponsorship opportunities with the publication itself.

Casino operators want to bring players to their casinos. Our magazine allows us to bring a lot of players to our other properties as well as the casino's poker room." Packaging a bundled offering of products and services, HeadsUp has been able to continue to implement its strategic plan to create barriers to entry into the Canadian marketplace and by offering a complete media model supported by Canada's premier poker tour, the partnerships being developed with the casinos enhance the overall value of the corporate model. 

Print run for the next issue of Canadian Poker Player Magazine will be increased by 25% based on demand from casinos across the country as well as increasing sales of the Canadian Poker Tour Players Card, which includes an annual subscription to the magazine as well as introductory merchandise package, discounted registration fees to selected CPT events and the ability to accumulate points in the CPT Player of the Year program. Full details can be found at www.canadianpokertour.tv.
