Healing Trees: Diana Beresford-Kroeger to Present on the Medicinal, Magical Properties of Trees

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 7, 2011) - As part of the Canadian Museum of Nature's Earth Month activities and in celebration of the International Year of Forests, well-known author and botanist Diana Beresford Kroeger will give a special talk called Healing Trees on April 28. This lecture is presented by the Canadian Museum of Nature and Tree Canada, with the assistance of the October Hill Foundation.

Diana Beresford-Kroeger combines her medical training with knowledge of botany to reinforce her belief that remedies for cancer and other ailments can readily be found in nature. She is uniquely qualified having studied classical botany, medical biochemistry, organic chemistry, radio nuclear chemistry and experimental surgery. She has studied thousands of plant species in her 160-acre garden and arboretum in Merrickville, Ontario. Her books include The Global Forest, Arboretum America Arboretum Borealis, and Time will Tell. Known as a medical tree expert she is also a powerful speaker whose beautiful images and dialogue will convince you of the healing power of trees.
