OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 5, 2010) - Health Canada today released the October 2010 issue of the Canadian Adverse Reaction Newsletter (CARN).

This issue includes an article on statins and a suspected association with rare but serious lung diseases known as "interstitial lung diseases." Statins are a family of prescription drugs used to lower cholesterol.
