Health Catalyst Names Brent Dover as President

Healthcare Data Warehousing Leader to Benefit From Former Medicity President's Track Record Growing Companies Into Innovative Market Leaders

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - Feb 21, 2013) - Health Catalyst (formerly Healthcare Quality Catalyst), the leader in healthcare data warehousing and analytics, today announced the appointment of Brent Dover as the company's President.

A 21-year veteran of the healthcare information technology industry, Dover will be responsible for all client-facing activities and product development. Health Catalyst helps healthcare organizations harness their data to save money, meet compliance requirements and improve patient outcomes.

Dover joins Health Catalyst after 13 years at Medicity, where he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and then as President. He helped guide the company from a start-up in health information exchange (HIE) to the leader in connectivity for both public and private HIEs. Medicity was acquired by Aetna in 2011.

"Brent's experience, market knowledge, and executive level business relationships have helped him build an unparalleled track record of results in healthcare IT, not only for the companies he has helped lead, but for the providers and patients they serve," said Dan Burton, CEO of Health Catalyst. "We're confident that Brent's focus on client success in the early HIE market will be a major contributor to Health Catalyst's leadership in the emerging market for health data warehousing and analytics."

"I am thrilled to join the leadership team of Health Catalyst, a company that has flawlessly delivered tangible return on investment for its clients seeking to deploy an enterprise data warehouse and analytics platform," said Dover. "The company is uniquely positioned with the right team, a compelling product and proven client deployments to help healthcare delivery systems quickly roll out data-driven processes for quality and cost improvement."

Health Catalyst has more than doubled in size each of the past three years, while expanding its product line from eight stand-alone solutions to a platform of more than 40 integrated products. In the past year, a majority of Health Catalyst's existing clients have expanded their relationship with the company as a result of the rapid return on investment from using the company's solutions and their need to quickly adapt from a fee-for-service to an outcomes-based payment model.
