HealthcareSource eLearning Library Expands to Deliver Critical Updated Educational Content

More Than 2,000 Courses Added and Updated to Learning Catalog

WOBURN, MA--(Marketwired - Mar 23, 2016) - HealthcareSource®, the leading provider of talent management solutions for the healthcare industry, has announced the addition of more than 1,000 new courses to their HealthcareSource eLearning Library(SM) with nearly 1,300 additional courses receiving updates during the 2015 calendar year.

Each year, the courses within the eLearning Library are enhanced to ensure that the content delivered to clients is of the highest quality and reflects the most current eLearning content available. This year, the most significant updates were made in the following areas:

  • Leadership Skills - Research published by The Advisory Board shows that 45 percent of healthcare leaders are over the age of 55 and are likely preparing for retirement. In response to this, HealthcareSource added hundreds of courses to help future leaders develop skills that will allow them to more easily shift into management positions.

  • ICD-10/Revenue Cycle Management Education - HealthcareSource added more than 60 courses on this topic in support of the mandatory transition to ICD-10 that clients faced in October 2015.

  • Desktop Skills - More than 500 business and desktop skills courses were added to the catalog as clients looked to educate employees on new software and support internal rollouts spurred by the release of Windows 10, Office 2016, and the new Microsoft Edge browser.

The eLearning Library has continued its expansion in 2016, with the most recent additions focusing on regulatory compliance. Each course in HealthcareSource's "2016 Premium Compliance Course Collection" has been carefully reviewed and fully updated to ensure the courses fulfill all regulatory training requirements topics. These courses are fully customizable and include the exclusive Minute Mandatories™ feature, allowing more experienced staff to complete their annual compliance training more efficiently by focusing on the new regulations while still highlighting components which have stayed the same.

"The scale of eLearning Library releases highlights how HealthcareSource delivers the broadest and fastest-growing eLearning catalog available in healthcare," said Michelle Leavitt, senior director, learning product strategy at HealthcareSource.
