Atkins Nutritionals, Inc. Poll: Most Canadians Desire a Healthy Lifestyle

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 8, 2011) - In a recent study conducted by Leger Marketing on behalf of Atkins Nutritionals Inc., adopting a healthy lifestyle (68 per cent), saving more money (57 per cent), as well as losing and keeping off weight (48 per cent) were among respondents' top three goals for 2011.

The survey comes on the heels of a new and improved website and weight-loss kit developed by Atkins and available at www.atkins.com – making losing weight and keeping it off even easier for Canadian consumers.

Leger Marketing omnibus poll methodology:

The survey was completed on-line from Monday, January 10th, 2010, to Wednesday, January 12th, 2010, using Leger Marketing's online panel, LegerWeb. A sample of 1508 Canadians, 18 years of age or older, were surveyed. A probability sample of the same size would yield a margin of error of ±2.5%, 19 times out of 20.
