HealthPass New York to Offer CareConnect Health Insurance Plans to Small Businesses


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jan 5, 2015) -  HealthPass New York, one of the nation's longest standing small business private health insurance exchanges, has announced that it will offer North Shore-LIJ CareConnect Health Insurance Company, Inc. plans to small employers in 2015. The addition of CareConnect to its menu of health insurance options gives HealthPass New York members and families access to some of the top hospitals and lowest rates in downstate New York.

HealthPass will offer a total of six CareConnect plans to companies with two to fifty (2-50) eligible employees in 2015. Initial coverage options include one Platinum, one Gold, two Silver and two Bronze plans for HealthPass members. Employees must work or reside in one of New York City's five boroughs, Long Island or Westchester County to be eligible to enroll in a CareConnect plan.

With all CareConnect plans, members have access to 28 top hospitals and over 16,000 participating providers in New York's five boroughs, Long Island and Westchester. These plans provide a variety of coverage options including a range of deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance and out-of-pocket maximums. Additional plan benefits include unrestricted access to top specialists without referrals, 100 percent coverage for preventive care, covered emergency services, prescription drug benefits and up to $600 reimbursement for gym memberships per family every year.
