HealthTap has already served more than a 1/2 billion doctor-answers to people's health questions via its online and mobile apps. Now, HealthTap will provide everyone with access to more detailed and personalized answers from the country's best medical minds.
Users will now be able to attach relevant personal characteristics to their questions, such as age, gender, prior conditions, or medications they're taking. Doctors will take these additional attributes into account when answering these questions. Users remain anonymous (neither the answering doctors, nor other users, will know who asked the question), but the answers they receive will be better tailored to them, and to others like them who will benefit from the same answers later.
