BOISE, ID--(Marketwired - Jan 24, 2014) - Healthwise announced today that the Healthwise Patient Education EMR Module, Version 10.0, is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as a Modular EHR on December 22, 2013 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the applicable hospital and eligible provider and hospital certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2014 Edition criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more -- but not all -- of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

For eligible providers, the Healthwise Patient Education EMR Module 10.0's certification number is CC-2014-268300-1. Both meet the following three certification criteria: patient-specific education resources, automated numerator recording and quality management system. ONC HIT certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The additional types of costs that an eligible hospital or eligible provider would pay to implement the Healthwise Patient Education EMR Module in order to attempt to meet meaningful use objectives and measures include license, maintenance, and implementation fees.
