Heavyweight Payload Products Introduced by BATS

Additional BTS Units Support Weights of up to 200 Pounds

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN--(Marketwire - October 6, 2009) - Broadband Antenna Tracking Systems, Inc. (BATS) www.batswireless.com has introduced its new BTS series of durable payload products, which can support radio and antenna weights of up to 200 pounds.

BATS' industry-first solutions automatically locate a desired connection point, establish communications and track if one or both of the wireless broadband radios are moving. The system integrates a directional antenna that is mounted on a pan-tilt aiming chassis with a wireless broadband radio.

The new heavyweight BTS-5000, BTS-9000 and BTS-20000 allow for payload capacities up to 50, 90 and 200 pounds respectively. BATS also offers its original BTS-2500 system that supports payloads up to 25 pounds.

"These new products can be significant for deployments utilizing large dishes, such as microwaves used aboard ships, military communications, oil and gas platforms and emergency response deployments," said Robert Peterson, Chief Executive Officer of BATS. "We have responded to specific needs of our customers with these new, cost-effective products that reduce limitations and allow them more flexibility in deploying their communications systems."

The BATS technology is agnostic as to frequency and broadband vendor radio equipment. The technology can automatically reposition the directional broadband antenna mounted on a vessel to maintain a wireless broadband network session. This unique industry-first tracking capability allows moving vehicles to obtain real-time access to resources inherent to broadband communications. The BATS system allows for rapid deployment of wireless networks as well as the geographic extension of a current network for customers who have limited broadband access or rely on expensive, low-bandwidth satellite communications.
