Heli Technik Inc. Receives Funding from Government of Canada

VAL-D'OR, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 19, 2013) - While at the 50th Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, promoted the skills and know-how of the Quebec and Canadian aerospace industry. He also took this opportunity to announce, before several Quebec firms present in Paris, that the firm Héli Technik Inc. has been granted financial assistance to improve its productivity.

"Supporting innovation and research and development is a cornerstone of the Government of Canada's strategy to build a high-performing economy that creates wealth and jobs. That is why it is pleased to support Quebec and Canadian aerospace firms, who contribute to the nation's economic vibrancy," commented Minister Lebel.

Héli Technik Inc.'s project involves the modernization and expansion of its facilities, primarily to relocate current equipment, and will result in an increase in production and in the company's ability to maintain quality, high-knowledge aeronautical jobs in the region.

"Our Government remains focused on four priorities, as outlined by the Prime Minister, that Canadians care most about: their families, the safety of our streets and communities, their pride in being a citizen of this country, and of course, their personal financial security," concluded Minister Lebel.

This assistance, granted in the form of a $128,625 repayable contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
