Helios Data Forensics President Chris Hallgren Attains EnCase Certification for Electronic Data Recovery
PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - November 12, 2008) - Chris Hallgren, president of Helios Data
Forensics, is one of Greater Phoenix's most highly trained computer
forensics experts.
Hallgren earned EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) status, a professional
designation for those who have reached the highest level of proficiency in
EnCase by Guidance Software, the most widely used solution in the industry.
Computer forensics involves the identification, collection, analysis and
reporting of data from digital sources for use as potential legal evidence.
Civil cases such as fraud, harassment, discrimination, disclosure of trade
secrets or destruction of intellectual property rely heavily on computer
forensics. Hallgren helps businesses and law firms collect data in a way
that preserves its evidentiary value and complies with Federal law, and
provides reports, expert testimony and presentation of evidence in the
courtroom.
EnCase enables the search and retrieval of data from sources including
laptops, desktops, servers, removable storage devices, digital cameras,
personal digital assistants and smartphones.
"You'd be amazed by what I can uncover with EnCase -- data that's deleted,
encrypted, hidden, that resides in unallocated disk space," Hallgren said.
"Certification assures clients that I bring the highest level of knowledge,
technical expertise and professionalism to a rapidly evolving industry, and
that the data I produce will withstand judicial scrutiny."
In addition to EnCase, Hallgren is licensed to use AccessData's Forensic
Toolkit and NTI Forensic Software. He holds a certificate in computer
forensics from Oregon State University, a bachelor's degree in Management
Systems from Arizona State University and an MBA in Technology Management
from the University of Phoenix.
Helios has completed projects with law firms, corporations and small
businesses nationwide and will offer remote data forensics services to a
global customer base in 2009.
