Help Boardwalk Stuff a Suite With Food

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - May 6, 2010) - Boardwalk Rental Communities and the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank are inviting all Calgarians to join in an exciting initiative to fight hunger in Calgary. Boardwalk is "sweetening" the initiative by offering one lucky winner the opportunity to live rent free for a full year.

"Feeding the hungry in Calgary is a year round challenge. Boardwalk's Stuff a Suite program is an innovative way to raise awareness among their customers and the public and help collect food for those in need", said James McAra, CEO, Inter-Faith Food Bank.

Until May 13, Boardwalk is asking Calgarians to drop off at least 5 items from the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank's most needed items list to one of their participating locations. For every 5 items donated, they will receive one entry for a chance to win Free Rent for a Year. All food donations will be taken to Boardwalk's Sarcee Trail Place location, with the goal of stuffing a 2-bedroom suite full of food. On May 14th, one lucky winner will be chosen from the entries to win free rent for a year from Boardwalk. Most importantly, all food collected will be donated to the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank.

"Boardwalk Rental Communities is proud to assist the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank. Donations to the Food Bank often decrease during the warmer months but the need for food continues. We hope that all Calgarians will participate in this worthy cause", said Rob Geremia Boardwalk's President.

Boardwalk is also welcoming the public to drop off their donations and see the suite being stuffed on Saturday, May 8th, from 1-5pm at Sarcee Trail Place (71 Glamis Dr. SW).
