Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan and Capital One: A Great Fundraising Combination

YPSILANTI, MI--(Marketwire - August 11, 2009) - The Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan (HFM) announces the launch of a new fundraising program in conjunction with Capital One, a new HFM customized Capital One Visa. This Visa allows HFM supporters to promote programs and raise money by simply using the card.

What's in it for cardholders? No annual fee and easy online application process. What's in it for HFM? Each time cardholders make a purchase, one percent goes back to HFM. With the initial purchase, Capital One will also donate $25 to support HFM and its many programs for the bleeding disorders community. Ivan C. Harner, HFM Executive Director, said, "We have been looking for a partner to develop an affinity card program for the past several years. The cards will provide additional operating funds for HFM and help our community support the Foundation with their regular purchases using one of the personalized cards. The best part is that the donation will not cost users anything! They can choose from three of our cards representing Camp (Eagle) Youth (Diving into Lake) or Advocacy (The Red Shirts of Lansing Day)."
