Henry Ford Health System Chooses Information Builders' Technology for Its Enterprise Data Warehouse Program

WebFOCUS and Omni-Patient Improves Data Analysis for Healthcare Organization

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Oct 9, 2012) - Information Builders, a leader in business intelligence (BI) and analytics, information integrity, and integration solutions, today announced that Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) has selected the company's Omni-Patient application and WebFOCUS BI platform for its Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Program.

The partnership is the latest in which a leading healthcare organization has turned to Information Builders for business intelligence and data management solutions that improve data analysis and enable more informed decision-making.

Julia Swanson, HFHS director of Performance Analytics and Improvement, stated, "Information Builders' Omni-Patient provides us with the ability to rapidly implement our Enterprise Data Warehouse while decreasing risk. We have selected an application approach to enterprise information management and analytics that accelerates our implementation in a way that would not be possible with a typical build approach offered by most other vendors in the marketplace."

Information Builders' multi-year agreement with HFHS includes its Omni-Patient application -- which comes with a proven healthcare data model, master data management, real-time data quality firewall, and patient identity management -- delivering highly reliable, high-quality integrated data into a transactional data repository and a healthcare data warehouse, which jointly enable the 360-degree single view of patient information and of patient journey through the cycle of care. It also includes an integrated set of healthcare dashboards and metrics, which help healthcare organizations improve and meet external regulatory requirements.

HFHS will then use WebFOCUS 8 with the Omni-Patient application to broaden access to information, providing actionable knowledge that will improve quality while reducing costs. As part of the agreement, HFHS and Information Builders will also work actively together to drive innovation around advanced analytics. For example, one project will leverage the WebFOCUS 8 sentiment analysis capabilities to answer "why" questions surrounding patient satisfaction analysis. Once the Omni-Patient application is implemented, the same approach will then be applied to clinical, financial, and human resource data.

"We view this as a win-win strategy for both organizations," explained HFHS Chief Information Officer Mary Alice Annecharico. "We look forward to partnering with Information Builders to expand their product capabilities in Healthcare Analytics while we create the platform we need for more efficient data analysis, enhanced clinical research, and improved operational and strategic decision-making."

"We are honored to have been selected by Henry Ford Health System for their EDW program and believe that the new relationship is a testament to the value that can be derived from our unique approach to healthcare data management and analytics," said Gerald Cohen, president and CEO of Information Builders.
