The Henry Ford Honored With Three Best of Industry Awards by Michigan's Meetings + Events Magazine

America's Greatest History Attraction the Only Venue to Win Awards in Multiple Categories

DEARBORN, MI--(Marketwire - June 3, 2009) - Superior service and professionalism, unmatched event settings and an eco-conscious attraction enabled The Henry Ford to win three 2009 Best of Industry awards from Michigan Meetings + Events Magazine. The Henry Ford, America's greatest history attraction, was the only venue to win awards in multiple categories, receiving honors for Best Service, Best Meeting/Event Venue without a hotel in the Detroit metro area, and Best Eco-Friendly Supplier for the attraction's Ford Rouge Factory Tour.

Michigan Meetings + Events magazine, the leading magazine for meetings and events professionals in Michigan, asked readers to vote on the top venues in the meetings and events industry. It presented the awards in a May 13 ceremony in Detroit.

"We are incredibly honored and delighted to be recognized by the top event planners and such a prestigious publication," said Amy Cox, director of event sales at The Henry Ford. "Many high-profile events are held at The Henry Ford because of our unique venues and service, which have been recognized through these awards. Plus, our clients have the added opportunity to give back to the community by supporting a national treasure and driving the local economy, helping retain local jobs and consuming locally grown and produced products."

Additionally, meetings and events drive critical business results that help rebuild an organization's bottom line -- a recent MPI/George P. Johnson Foundation study found that meetings and events have the highest return on investment of any marketing platform.

Among the many catered event opportunities available at The Henry Ford are evening galas in Henry Ford Museum, Lovett Hall Ballroom and Ford Rouge Factory Tour, as well as picnics for 100 to 10,000 guests in Greenfield Village.
