HERC Products Incorporated Announces Acquisition of Hydrahaul® Technology and Patents

PORTSMOUTH, VA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 18, 2007 -- HERC Products Incorporated (PINKSHEETS: HERC) announced today the acquisition of the assets and patents related to Hydrahaul and TRS Pipebursting Equipment from Innovation Technology of Harrisonburg, VA.

There are currently three models of Hydrahaul trenchless pipebursting units commercially available that replace pipeline systems up to 36 inches in diameter. The technology and patents behind Hydrahaul make it the leading technology for pipebursting, especially in larger diameters. Hydrahaul holds the record for successfully bursting the largest diameter pipe ever replaced at the Thunder Dome, now known as Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, in St. Petersburg, Florida. This work was performed by Jonathan Pitt who currently runs HERC's Water Technology Group. HERC will be developing a manufacturing division to build the units for sale to other contractors worldwide and for its own construction service units at all Company locations.

S. Steven Carl reports: "Hydrahaul is a great addition to our tool box of solutions that we can offer municipal utility owners to rehabilitate their underground pipe systems. This continues the development of our corporate strategy to provide multiple technologies and resources to build our pipeline rehabilitation applications."
