Hermitage Veterinarians Launch New Website

HERMITAGE, TN--(Marketwire - Jan 22, 2012) - Lebanon Road Animal Hospital announced that the practice has launched a new website, http://www.lrahvet.com/. The redesigned site features educational resources for pet owners, including a 'vetopedia', and an online store. There is also information on services available at the animal hospital, including spay and neuter operations, wellness exams, dental care, and free cat and dog vaccinations.

Hermitage pet owners have a new online resource for pet care tips and veterinary information.

Dr. Kay Baker, an Hermitage veterinarian and co-owner of Lebanon Road Animal Hospital, announced the launch of her practice's new website, http://www.lrahvet.com/. Along with her husband and fellow vet Dr. Ben Baker, Dr. Kay Baker emphasized the importance of educating pet owners and sharing informational resources.

"As veterinarians, our job is to help pet owners provide the best care possible for their pets," said Dr. Kay Baker. "This starts with education. Many pet owners want to do right by their pets, but without basic veterinary knowledge, like how to properly brush a dog's teeth or how to identify the warning signs of an illness, it can be difficult to provide the best care. That's why we are so excited to launch our new website. It's a great resource for sharing knowledge and empowering pet owners."

The "veterinary topics" library includes a video newsroom as well as informational articles. Prospective pet owners can learn more about how to choose the right pet for their families, and what to expect when first bringing a pet home.

The new Hermitage veterinary clinic website also includes a "Vetopedia," an interactive encyclopedia with information on common veterinary procedures, pet health conditions and treatments.

"The Vetopedia is a great resource for pet owners who need reliable information on a pet's health condition," said Dr. Ben Baker. "There's a lot of information on the Internet about pet health care, and not all of it is correct or up to date. We're excited to offer pet owners access to this fully updated resource. From cutting-edge treatments to common health concerns, pet owners can find answers to their questions here."

The veterinarians stressed that a major reason for enhancing their website was to make reliable information available to pet owners any time of the day or night.

"Many pet owners have questions about pet care after office hours," said Dr. Kay Baker. "With our new Vetopedia and veterinary topics library, accurate and reliable information is available any time of the day or night -- there's no need to wait for office hours to call the veterinary clinic!"

Pet owners can also use the website to learn more about the different services available at the veterinary clinic. These include the free core vaccinations: distemper/parvo 6 in 1 for dogs, feline respiratory 4 in 1 for cats and rabies. The vaccinations are free with a standard wellness exam.

The veterinary clinic also provides cat and dog dental care. The online video library includes instructional videos explaining how to properly brush a pet's teeth and provide at-home preventive care.

Individuals who would like to stay up to date on pet care news can sign up for the clinic's free bi-weekly e-newsletter. Pet owners may also use the website's online appointment request form to schedule their pet's annual wellness exam. More information is on the website, http://www.lrahvet.com.
