Hertz Rent2Buy Expands to Four Additional States

Rent2Buy Is Now Available in 22 North American States and Accessible Online via the Redesigned Rent2Buy Website

PARK RIDGE, NJ--(Marketwire - September 16, 2010) - Hertz Rent2Buy, The Hertz Corporation's (NYSE: HTZ) online car sales program, has expanded to four additional states: Minnesota, Nevada, Oklahoma and Oregon bringing the total number of locations to 22 states nationwide. The new locations give Hertz Rent2Buy the ability to offer the car sales service to more customers providing them with an alternative, affordable, innovative way to buy a used car in their home state.

In addition to its expansion, Hertz Rent2Buy has also launched a completely redesigned online homepage to provide optimal access for customers looking to buy a car. Customers can now easily search for used cars by model & price, make, body type and efficiency making it easier to find the car to best suit customers' their needs. The website also has a Featured Used Vehicle section which highlights some of the cars and deals offered through the Hertz Rent2Buy program.

Hertz Rent2Buy allows customers to reserve a rental car they might want to buy for a three-day test rental. Used car shoppers can visit www.hertzrent2buy.com and select the car of their choice at a convenient Hertz location. Customers have full use of the vehicle for up to three days and, if they choose to purchase the vehicle, they simply keep the car, pay the listed price without any haggling and the rental fee is waived. If the customer decides not to purchase the car, the vehicle is returned to the renting location and the transaction is treated as a standard rental with a $49 per day rental fee, or a $99 per day fee for higher end vehicles with a price in excess of $25,000 such as Corvettes and Mercedes.

"We are excited to expand Hertz Rent2Buy's availability to four new states and continue our commitment to provide customers with the ability to purchase a used car while offering Hertz's premium service," said Chairman and CEO Mark P. Frissora. "Offering the program to more states across the country gives us a strong foothold in supplying customers with what they need in terms of buying a used car."
