Hertz Rent2Buy Takes Flight With AirTran Airways

Customers Eligible for a Free* Round Trip Flight on AirTran With the Purchase of a Rent2Buy Vehicle

PARK RIDGE, NJ--(Marketwire - February 8, 2011) - Hertz Rent2Buy, The Hertz Corporation's (NYSE: HTZ) online car sales program, announced today a new partnership with AirTran Airways that provides 16 AirTran Airways A+ Rewards credits, equal to a round trip coach ticket valid at any AirTran Airways destination, to A+ Reward members purchasing a vehicle through Hertz Rent2Buy.

"As long-time partners, Hertz is excited to add an additional level of benefits to its AirTran A+ Rewards partnership," commented Bob Stuart, Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Hertz. "A+ Rewards members who purchase a vehicle through Hertz' online car sales program, Rent2Buy, will be able to travel on the ground in a quality, used car, while traveling the skies for free* with A+ Rewards credits from Hertz."

AirTran Airways' frequent flier program, A+ Rewards, allows travelers to earn free* flights faster than other airlines' loyalty programs -- and now A+ Rewards members who purchase a vehicle through Hertz Rent2Buy receive 16 credits in their A+ Rewards account. Sign-up for the A+ Rewards program is free, and travelers must be A+ Rewards member prior to the time of vehicle purchase to earn the 16 A+ Rewards credits. Sign up for A+ Rewards can be done online at http://www.airtran.com.

Hertz Rent2Buy is an online car sales program that allows customers to reserve a rental car they may want to buy for a three-day test drive. Used car shoppers visit www.hertzrent2buy.com and select the car of their choice at a convenient Hertz location. Customers have full use of the vehicle for up to three days. A customer who chooses to purchase the vehicle simply keeps the car and pays the listed price without any haggling and the rental fee, other than any fee for optional products purchased, is waived. For customers who choose to purchase the car, competitive finance options are available to simplify the payment process.

If the customer decides not to purchase the car, the vehicle is returned to the rental location and the transaction is treated as a standard rental.

"AirTran Airways is proud to build on our long-standing partnership with The Hertz Corporation with this program that allows our A+ Rewards members to get a great deal on a car while earning A+ Rewards credits for a free* flight," said Tad Hutcheson, AirTran Airways' Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "We see this as a win-win for our most loyal customers."
