Hexago Releases Migration Broker™ Version 4.0

New Release Offers Access to IPv4 From IPv6; A North American IT Industry First

MONTREAL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 27, 2006 -- Hexago, the leading provider of IPv6 deployment solutions, today announced worldwide availability of Migration Broker 4.0, a sophisticated tool capable of providing connectivity between the next generation of the Internet, IPv6, and the current Internet, IPv4. Migration Broker 4.0's new powerful feature, the Dual Stack Transition Mechanism (DSTM), is a North American IT industry first and enables users of the new Internet, IPv6, to access all of the existing applications and services on the current Internet, IPv4.

"IPv6 is a critical enabler for achieving the vision for global net-centric operations," said David Green, CERDEC Site Manager at SRI International. "I expect the DSTM feature available in Hexago's Migration Broker to be an important component of our IPv6 transition progress because it allows us to deploy advanced 'IPv6 dominant' service oriented architectures while maintaining backwards compatibility with IPv4."

"The ability of the Migration Broker to automate tunnel setup, while maintaining security, is a key feature," added Green. "The Migration Broker's ability to authenticate, audit, and account for access, coupled with its extensibility to VPNs and PKI infrastructure, give it outstanding security features to support enterprise-level IPv6 tunneling."

"Executives and government leaders around the world are beginning to plan and develop strategies to start using the new Internet and they are thinking about all of the new applications and services that will be available to them when IPv6 is deployed in their network," said Bruce Sinclair, Hexago President and CEO. "We at Hexago are ready to work with these leaders to bring their organizations to the new Internet, but with this new version of Migration Broker, we're also being mindful of how to 'get back' and access legacy services and applications so that these organizations can build on the strength of their existing networks and not have to reinvent the wheel."

For companies and government agencies looking to save time and money on the transition from IPv4 to IPv6, building new, cutting edge IPv6-only networks and using DSTM to support IPv4 legacy systems and applications offers a cost effective alternative to the hardware approach of building and maintaining dual stack networks. Another key benefit of Migration Broker 4.0 is ease of use; Migration Broker 4.0 includes a new graphical user interface for the Windows platform to configure and manage the operation of the Tunnel Setup Protocol (TSP) Client. Hexago's Migration Broker 4.0 was introduced in North America in January '06 and is now available worldwide.
