Hibachi House Battles Dinner "Blahs" With Flame Grilled Taste and Crisp, Crunchy Vegetables Direct From the Microwave

Innovative Frozen Food Company Reinvigorates Microwave Meals With Six New Flavors and the Latest in Steam-Cooking Technology

BURIEN, WA--(Marketwire - May 29, 2007) - "Flame" and "fire" are not two words often associated with microwaveable meals. Neither are "crisp" and "crunchy." But that will soon change with the release of six new dinner options from Hibachi House, a subsidiary of Simply Simmered, LLC. The new line of no-fuss frozen meals -- complete with succulent fire-grilled shrimp or juicy flame-grilled chicken, traditional Japanese sticky rice, crisp vegetables, and rich savory sauces -- are prepared using Hibachi's innovative Steam Pouch technology. This unique cooking method retains ingredient flavor and texture while ensuring optimal, even cooking time and temperature. The result? Meals even your mother won't know came from the microwave.

Beginning this month, Hibachi House will offer six new dinner flavors, adding to their already popular line that includes Honey Teriyaki Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, and Polynesian Chicken. The new additions to the Hibachi meal line up include:

-- Mandarin Orange Chicken -- refreshing orange adds zest to a savory soy
    based sauce;
-- Spicy Teriyaki Chicken -- a tantalizing heat takes teriyaki to a
    higher level;
-- Chicken Fried Rice & Shrimp Fried Rice -- a Hibachi twist to an Asian
    favorite, fire-grilled chicken breast meat or succulent seared shrimp
    mingles with soy infused rice, egg, peas, carrots, onions and red bell
    peppers -- all topped with a delectable garlic sesame sauce;
-- Chicken with Broccoli -- uniting fire-grilled chicken breast meat with
    crisp broccoli florets and authentic Japanese sticky rice, this is the
    first entrée to pair Hibachi's signature chicken with crunchy vegetables
    and the simple savory flavor of Hibachi grill sauce;
-- Sweet & Sour Shrimp -- juicy flame-seared shrimp complemented by
    colorful carrot strips and sugar snap peas, accented by a distinctive sweet
    and sour sauce.
Hibachi House was inspired by a passion for the Hibachi grill and founded on the principle that microwave meals should -- and could -- be full of flavor and texture. By combining premium ingredients with innovative cooking technology, Hibachi guarantees that their food has just those qualities. Hibachi entrée ingredients are individually quick-frozen and, when prepared in their signature Steam Pouch, come out of the microwave smelling and tasting like a home-grilled meal.

"We all have memories of fun-filled evenings around the grill, but unfortunately we rarely have time to recreate them from scratch after a busy day," explains Steve Galando, CEO and co-founder of Hibachi House. "My personal quest for quick, easy fire-grilled flavor was the catalyst for Hibachi House." Boasting nearly two decades in the frozen food industry, Steve was the mastermind behind Chef's Choice and Skillet Dinners, and collaborated with frozen food greats Ralph Ardolino and David Essary on Hibachi House. He is well positioned to bring the exciting new Hibachi products to market in this $28 billion a year industry.

In addition to new flavors, Hibachi House is also introducing a revamped website this month, complete with company background and buying options for interested retailers, as well as new consumer-friendly features such as "How to Hibachi" serving suggestions, flavor descriptions and nutrient information on each product, an interactive distribution/availability map and much more.
