High Arctic Energy Services Inc. Raises Additional $4,898,000 As Underwriter Exercises Over-Allotment Option

High Arctic Energy Services Inc. ("High Arctic") (TSX:HWO) is pleased to announce that Canaccord Adams Limited ("Canaccord") has exercised a portion of the over-allotment option granted in connection with High Arctic's recent private placement, resulting in the additional issuance of an aggregate of $4,898,000 principal amount of 12.0 percent unsecured convertible debentures due 31 December 2012 (the "Debentures"). The additional Debentures and the underlying common shares of High Arctic shall be subject to a statutory four-month hold period expiring March 21, 2008.

The total gross proceeds of the offering, including the exercise of the over-allotment option, were $27,898,000.

The proceeds of the offering will be used to finance the joint venture agreement with the Schlumberger group (the details of which were set out in a press release dated October 29, 2007) and to provide additional working capital for High Arctic.
