High-Capacity UV Wafer Erasing System

WESTBURY, NY--(Marketwired - June 11, 2015) - The PC-8820B UV EPROM/Wafer Erasing System, manufactured by Spectronics Corporation, is a high-capacity unit that enables fast and complete erasure of programmed memory. The high-intensity, short-wave UV (254 nm), ozone-free, quartz grid lamps of the wafer erasing system, provides a nominal initial UV intensity of 70,000 µW/cm², producing the quickest and most complete erasure of programmed memory. The erasing cycle time is as fast as 90 seconds.This provides at least 60% greater throughput than competitive systems.

The cabinet's extra wide and deep drawer capacity ensures easy loading of wafers. Adjustable tray inserts are designed to handle 3 − 12 in (300 mm), 8 - 8 in (200 mm) or 15 - 6 in (150 mm) wafers.

A digital timer automatically resets after each erasing cycle, making repetitive operation fast, easy and error-free. A state-of-the-art internal cooling system offers maximum uniform UV intensity and prolongs grid lamp life.

Also available is the PC-8820B-LT model, which has the same features as the PC-8820B, with the addition of a light tower. The light tower includes red/yellow/green signals to indicate the mode status at every stage of system operation. The two-piece modular cabinet is constructed of anodized aluminum and stainless steel.
