High-Efficiency Circulating Fluidized Bed Power Plant Starts Test Run in Poland, an Industrial Info News Alert

GALWAY, IRELAND--(Marketwire - February 20, 2009) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- The 460-megawatt (MW) Lagisza thermal power project in Bedzin, Poland, has started a test run period of 720 hours before being commissioned for full operation in March. The plant incorporates what is claimed to be the world's largest capacity and most advanced circulating fluidized bed boiler island, which has been equipped by Foster Wheeler's (NASDAQ:FWLT) (Clinton, New Jersey) Finnish group. Turbines for the power station are supplied by Alstom (EPA:ALO) (France).
