High Ridge Resources Inc.: Bella Rubia Concessions, San Mateo Area, Peru-Ownership Dispute

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 7, 2008) - High Ridge Resources Inc. ("High Ridge") (TSX VENTURE:HRR) is issuing the following statement to inform our shareholders, investors and potential partners:

In response to the action commenced by Grenville Gold Corporation in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and Grenville's press release, both dated March 4, 2008, High Ridge says that its press release dated September 14, 2007 was correct.

High Ridge entered into a contract for an option to purchase the Bella Rubia Concessions in the San Mateo area, ENE of Lima in the Province of Huarochiri, Peru, on June 9, 2007, and submitted that contract to the Peruvian Public Registry. We understand that Grenville claims that it entered into a contract to purchase the Bella Rubia Concessions from the same vendor on July 9, 2007, and that it paid $700,000 up front.

The dispute between Grenville and High Ridge over the rights to the Bella Rubia Concessions is currently being resolved within the Peruvian legal system. On February 21, 2008, a judge of the Superior Court of Justice in Lima, Peru, ordered that there be no further dealings with the title to the Bella Rubia Concessions until the dispute has been resolved.

About High Ridge Resources Inc.:

High Ridge is focused on large scale exploration projects in Peru and Canada.

In Peru, in the San Mateo area, High Ridge has optioned three properties: Chanape, Rosicler-El Domo and Pacococha-Germania claims, and the Bella Rubia concessions, and staked a significant amount of highly prospective ground.

All properties optioned by High Ridge include numerous, roughly NE-trending, mineralized, polymetallic (+/- gold) vein systems. The veins on the Pacococha claims have formed the core of the past-producing Pacococha Mine, whereas the Germania claims comprise nearly all main veins of the former Germania Mine. Chanape encompasses several mineralized, gold-bearing veins and at least thirty gold-bearing polymetallic breccia pipes.

In addition to the Peruvian gold and poly-metallic projects, High Ridge has three advanced exploration projects in British Columbia. These properties include the Chuchi property (Cu-Au porphyry), 30 km northwest of Terrane's Mt. Milligan project; Newton Mountain (Au-Cu porphyry), 35 km north of Taseko Mine's Prosperity project - formerly Fish Lake (Au-Cu porphyry); and the Silver Bay (Ag, Pb, Zn, and Cu porphyry) project, 10 km south of Cominco's former Bluebell mine.
