High-Speed Industrial Hoist Creates Infinite Lifting Solutions for Industrial Plants, WVSN Reports

DETROIT, MI--(Marketwire - Mar 12, 2012) - Industrial facility owners, on a strict timetable for increased production and high quality precision products, are demanding increased flexibility from industrial hoist manufacturers.

Plant managers overseeing high volume manufacturing are expressing needs for industrial hoists that can conform to an ever-changing regiment of production requirements.

In a recent interview on WVSN Reports, Bret Lussow, Business Development Sales Manager for Harrington Hoists, Inc., spoke of Harrington's efforts to meet the challenges of high-volume production.

"At Harrington we constantly hear what our customers are saying. Today's message is lifting solutions have to be fast, flexible and above all else, safe.

"Harrington's latest product offering is the new ED Infinity hoist that meets those requirements at every level. The ED Infinity is perfect anywhere that speed meets critical product placement. An example may be a high-volume engine manufacturing plant where production speed is important, but placing an engine in a test cell on the same line requires critical precision.

"Another key component on the ED Infinity is our new dual speed adjustability via the control knobs located on the pendant. This feature offers the convenience of modifying both the high and low speeds at the point of control rather than adjusting devices inside the control cover. Every operator and application is different; two operators using the same hoist on the same production line day-after-day may have different skill sets. This feature allows the hoist to be adjusted to the operator's comfort and skill level while still maintaining a high level output.

"At Harrington we think our dual speed adjustable pendant is the next best thing to offering a personalized hoist for every operator on the line. Also, being single phase is another huge flexibility advantage; it makes the hoist easy to move with no special power requirements. The hoist can be removed from the line to be set up in a single work cell and all the operator has to do is plug it into a wall plug."
