HillCast Announces Former AOL Executive as Its CEO

AUSTIN, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 6, 2005 -- HillCast Technologies, the leading developer of mobile financial applications that deliver real-time, streaming data to mobile devices, has announced today that Gary D. Markin, effective February 14, 2005, was named CEO.

Markin has almost 20 years of experience in the wireless and telecommunications industries, including managerial and executive roles at AT&T, America Online and Anixter International.

"When I considered this opportunity, I saw a company that is recognized throughout the financial services industry and as a technology leader," said Markin. "No other company has been able to deliver financial market data with the speed and stability of HillCast."

Markin's beliefs were born out by the fact that more than 20,000 customers have downloaded MidCast and MidCast PRO over the last three years. HillCast's customers range from individual investors to large multi-national banks.

"HillCast was first to market, has a team of seasoned veterans, and provides stable, robust products," said Markin.

The company currently offers MidCast PRO, which delivers streaming real-time market data from NYMEX, NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, FX, CBOT, OTCBB, pink sheets, interest rate swaps and indices quotes. A few of the MidCast PRO features include access to news headlines and articles from various sources, E-mail/SMS/Popup alerts for quotes and news headlines, historical and real-time charting, and web-enabled administration. MidCast PRO also complies with major global carrier networks via the Mobile Data Service feature of BlackBerry Enterprise Server™ and supports corporate network environments that utilize third-party proxy servers and firewalls.
