"History of SXSW" Infographic Celebrates Festival's 25th Anniversary

Eloqua and JESS3 Visualize Growth and Milestones of Popular Interactive, Music and Film Festival

VIENNA, VA--(Marketwire - March 2, 2011) - Eloqua, the leading provider of Revenue Performance Management solutions, in partnership with data visualization firm JESS3, today released "The History of SXSW" infographic to celebrate the genesis and milestones of SXSW.

The two companies have previously joined forces to visualize data and stories in new ways, including through The Blog Tree, The Future of Revenue and The Content Grid.

Joe Chernov, Director of Content at Eloqua, said creating an infographic around SXSW was the next logical step.

"We didn't want to deliver just a staid rundown of dates on a timeline," Chernov said. "We took a chock-full-of-information snapshot of how SXSW has grown and adapted to changing times, all while staying true to its roots of encouraging discovery and discussion."

The History of SXSW infographic is released under Creative Commons (CC-BY-SA) on the company's blog "It's All About Revenue" and its SlideShare channel. Eloqua is also sponsoring the Interactive portion of SXSW 2011. Chernov will moderate a panel discussion titled "Media Tomorrow: The Messenger is the Message" with panelists Jeremiah Owyan (Altimeter Group), Sarah Evans (Sevans Strategy), Jenn Van Grove (Mashable) and Leslie Bradshaw (JESS3) on March 12 at 3:30 CT.

Eloqua is also partnering with Bulldog Solutions to host "The Good, The Bad & The Thirsty," a free kick-off party at Club Deville in downtown Austin on March 12 between 5:30PM-8:00PM CT. Attendees can RSVP on Facebook. For every attendee who checks in at the event on Gowalla or Foursquare, Eloqua and Bulldog Solutions will donate $1 to Austin-based charity A Glimmer of Hope.
