HIT Services: Greenville Translation Company Aids Professional Interpreters

GREENVILLE, SC--(Marketwired - Aug 22, 2016) - HIT Services, a Greenville-based Interpretation and Translation Company, has become the official testing site for area interpreters seeking CCHI certification. CCHI (Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters) is a non-profit organization, and one of two in the nation to offer comprehensive credentialing programs for interpreters in the medical industry. HIT Services founder Jeannette Houchens says certification raises the standards of Interpretation as a profession and as a reputable career path. CCHI certification requires a written and oral exam, and the HIT office on Garlington Road is the authorized testing site for the oral portion.

Mrs. Houchens says she is happy to promote certification by offering South Carolina Interpreters an accessible location to take the exam. "We are making a difference," she says. "By offering the exam locally, we have the opportunity to encourage the growth of the profession." HIT Services also recently developed a workshop program to help interpreters prepare for certification.

HIT Services has been providing interpretation and translation services to the Upstate since 2010. HIT Interpreters and Translators are trained and certified to offer professional guidance and exceptional customer care for service providers in the public and private sector.
