HLT Energies 2006 Inc.: Closing of Another Private Placement and Changes in the Senior Management Team

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - April 23, 2007) - HLT Energies 2006 inc. (TSX VENTURE:HES), a leader in the production and sale of sustainable, renewable and clean solar thermal energy, HLT announces the closing of another private placement and changes in the senior management.

Private placement

HLT announced today the closing of a private placement of 600,000$ by issuing 2, 000,000 units consisting of one share at 0.30$ each and one warrant exercisable at a price of 0.30$ within the 24 months following today's closing. This private placement is subscribed by private investors.

Gerald Desourdy, president and chief operating officer said; "this placement is a demonstration of confidence in the solar industry as well as in the future of HLT. The net proceeds of this private placement will be used for working capital requirement and to accelerate market penetration in Quebec and Ontario.".

Changes in the senior management team

On April 2, 2007, Mr Russell Ibbotson has joined HLT team as director of engineering. He is a graduate in machanical engineering from the University of Queens and has 5 years of experience in the solar thermal industry.

Within the outline of the employment contract, HLT granted to Mr. Ibbbotson, 90 000 stock options of the Company under HLT's current stock option plan (the "Plan"). The options will vest in accordance with the vesting schedule determined by the Plan, with an expiring date of April 2, 2012, and are exercisable at a price of $0.20 per share, being the closing price of HLT's common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange on March 30, 2007.

HLT announces that Andrew van Doorn, vice-president engineering, research and development has chosen to pursue new challenges and will be leaving HLT on April 30 th 2007.

Mr. van Doorn is the developer of the patented HLT solar thermal collector technology. He is president of the Canadian solar industries association and a recognized Canadian expert in the design, operation, maintenance and manufacturing of solar thermal systems. Mr. van Doorn will remain as the technical expert to HLT and will continue to assist HLT in the development of new technologies.
