Hockey Legend Paul Henderson Joins Guardian by PetSafe to Find Canada's Next Pet Product Inventor

Hockey icon Paul Henderson is not only an ice legend, published author and motivational speaker, but he's also an avid pet lover. Now the man best known for The Shot Heard Around the World joins Guardian by PetSafe, a leading pet product manufacturer, to launch IdeaFetch - a consumer-driven, online invention contest. Beginning on June 1, IdeaFetch ( will offer all Canadians the opportunity to share innovative pet product ideas for the chance to win $25,000 and see their invention concept developed and sold at Canadian Tire stores.

"IdeaFetch builds on our country's rich invention history and will provide an outlet for all Canadians to share their product ideas," said Henderson. "I'm proud to partner with Guardian by PetSafe in search of new products to enhance the lives of pets and their owners."

Henderson will serve as IdeaFetch spokesperson and consultant, be featured on the contest Web site and participate in select local market events. To further promote the contest, Guardian by PetSafe will also launch an online advertising campaign and place point-of-sale marketing materials in Canadian Tire stores nationwide.
