Hogan Assessment Systems Featured in Latest Buros Mental Measurements Yearbook

TULSA, OK--(Marketwired - Mar 25, 2014) - Hogan Assessment Systems, a global leader in personality research and leadership development, announced that the Hogan Development Survey (HDS) was featured in Buros Center for Testing's Nineteenth Mental Measurements Yearbook of test reviews.

The Mental Measurements Yearbook, edited by Janet F. Carlson, Kurt F. Geisinger and Jessica L. Jonson, includes timely, consumer-oriented test reviews complete with descriptive information, professional analyses and reviewer references. The Yearbook is available in hard copy, online and subscription formats.

Measuring dark side personality along 11 scales, the HDS works to support organizational assessments by identifying key fundamental factors that distinguish personalities and determine career success. Hogan's entry in the Mental Measurements Yearbook offers an overview of the HDS and its availability in addition to two professional reviews.

Of the HDS, reviewer Theodore L. Hayes, a personnel research psychologist for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, commented, "The HDS test manual is among the best this reviewer has ever reviewed for the Mental Measurements Yearbook, and is clearly superior to its predecessors and competition."

Reviewer Stephen Axford, Executive Officer for Special Services, Falcon School District 49, and Adjunct Professor, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, contributed, "Human resource managers and selection committees should find the HDS to be a very useful tool in objectively considering personality factors that potentially impact job performance."

"By focusing on those qualities that emerge in times of increased stress, the HDS can detect potential performance risks before they become a problem," said Chris Duffy, vice president of Corporate Solutions for Hogan. "This solution is invaluable to organizations interested in better developing and managing their workforces. We are honored for the recognition in this most recent edition of the Mental Measurements Yearbook."
